Welcome to my cooking class! Today I will be teaching you how to make a delicious Japanese Style Bento Box. Bento boxes are becoming more and more popular around the world, and I'm sure you'll love this traditional Japanese meal. We'll be combining a variety of flavors, colors and textures to create a unique and tasty dish. So let's get started! ## Preparation ### Ingredients * 2 cups cooked Japanese short-grain rice * 8 ounces cooked Japanese curry * 2 eggs * 2 tablespoons Japanese mayonnaise * 2 tablespoons sesame seeds * 2 tablespoons mirin (sweet sake) * 1 tablespoon soy sauce * 2 sheets of nori (dried seaweed) * 2 tablespoons vegetable oil ### Cooking Utensils * Rice cooker * Saucepan * Bowl * Frying pan * Spatula ## Directions ### Cooking the Rice 1. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. 2. Place the rice in a rice cooker and fill with water to the appropriate level. 3. Cook the rice according to the manufacturer's instructions. ### Making the Curry 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. 2. Add the curry and cook until heated through. 3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. ### Making the Omelette 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. 2. Beat the eggs in a bowl. 3. Pour the eggs into the frying pan and cook until lightly browned. 4. Flip the omelette over and cook until the other side is lightly browned. 5. Transfer the omelette to a plate and cut into thin strips. ### Assembling the Bento Box 1. Divide the cooked rice into four equal portions and place in the bento boxes. 2. Arrange the curry, omelette strips and nori on top of the rice. 3. Drizzle the mayonnaise, sesame seeds, mirin and soy sauce over the top of the bento boxes. 4. Serve and enjoy!
